About Clay Conner

I'm Clay, an executive coach with a passion for helping student pilots overcome the challenges that stand between them and their Private Pilot Certificate (PPL) or advanced ratings. I’ve been flying since 2008, so I know firsthand how tough it can be to juggle flight training alongside work, family, and everyday life.

Starting flight training can feel overwhelming, and if you take a break, it often feels like you’re starting from scratch. Flying skills are perishable, and knowledge can fade quickly. Add in the stress of perfectionism, fear, anxiety, and motivation issues, and it can be tough to keep going. Not to mention, costs can mount up, especially if you have to switch instructors or face other delays.

That’s where coaching comes in. I first discovered coaching about 25 years ago and have used it consistently as a tool for helping myself and others get results. What I’ve found is that we’re most likely to follow through on solutions we come up with ourselves and truly believe in—and coaching conversations are the key to unlocking those solutions.

Over the years, I’ve worked with businesses—both big and small—on strategic planning, product development, project management, and process improvement. No matter the industry, I always come back to coaching as the most powerful tool for empowering others and creating lasting change.

Executive coaching works, and I’m here to help you break through the obstacles and achieve your aviation goals!

Flying is one of my greatest joys, and I love sharing that joy with my family and friends. It’s my dream for all my kids and grandkids to become pilots one day—and hey, a guy can dream, right?
